Overview
This 6-day round tour in Sri Lanka from Sigiriya to Colombo is a fantastic way to experience the country’s natural and green beauty, rich culture, and history. You will experience amazing highlights on your tour, like Sigiriya Lion Rock, and visit Kandy, the cultural capital. Visit the town of Nuwara Eliya, with its cool climate and colonial architecture. You can take a scenic train ride and visit a tea plantation. The small town of Kitulgala is a popular spot for white water rafting. You can also take a jungle hike to see the area’s diverse flora and fauna. Your tour will end in Colombo, where you can explore the city’s colonial-era buildings, enjoy your holiday shopping, and sample the delicious local cuisine. Overall, in this 6-day round tour, you will experience the country’s diverse attractions, green nature, and rich culture and history.
Pick up at the airport in Sri Lanka and drive to Sigiriya. After arrival, you will have time to relax at your hotel.
Distance from the Airport to Sigiriya is 145 km and you will reach Sigiriya within 3 hrs 30 mins.

You can hike the steps of the Lion Rock Fortress of Sigiriya (optional) and experience the therapies of the SriLankan art of Ayurveda (optional). On a safari in Minneriya National Forest or Kaudulla National Park (optional), you can experience the lifestyle of elephants in their habitat.

Traveling to Kandy, you will be visiting a spice and herbal garden. This visit will help you to gain an insight into the long spice history of the island.
After arrival to Kandy, you can witness a traditional Kandyan Dance Show that contains dance routines and costumes from across the country, including the famous ‘devil’ dances of the west coast (optional).

In the morning in Kandy, you can spend at the impressive and largest botanic garden in Sri Lanka, the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens (optional). On the way to Nuwara Eliya, you will visit a tea factory, as tea is one of the most important export products in Sri Lanka.
Then in the afternoon, you will be traveling from Gampola to Nanu Oya by train. This train ride takes you through stunning landscapes of green and lush tea plantations and mountain views and takes you to Nuwara Eliya, which is known for its temperate, the coolest area in Sri Lanka known as ‘Little England’.
Distance from Kandy to Gampola Railway Station is 20 km and you will reach Gampola within 45 mins.

On the way from Nuwara Eliya to Colombo you can go White Water Rafting (optional) in Kitulgala, in the middle of the rainforest. While rafting you can take in the spectacular scenery of tea and rubber plantations and mountains covered in patches of rainforest. Later you will be heading to Colombo.
Distance from Nuwara Eliya to Kitulgala is 75 km and you will reach Kitulgala within 2 hrs 15 mins.
Distance from Kitulgala to Colombo is 100 km and you will reach Colombo within 3 hrs.

Just great no regrets we had a great time.

The trip was amazing, they tailored our trip to fit our needs, interests and schedule. The recommendation were all given with our best interest at heart.
