Wilpattu National Park
Wilpattu is a paradise for all types of bird species. It is full of migrant birds like the Indian Paradise flycatcher, Asiatic Golden Player, Indian pitta, and many resident birds like a brown capped babbler, black-fronted babbler, Ceylon grey hornbill, and black-capped Bulbul.
The Wilpattu National Park houses several reptiles as well. The Garden lizard, the painted-lipped lizard, the Mugger crocodile, the land monitor, and the star crocodile are common.
The beautiful butterflies are a sight to see and capture with your lens. Common Jay, common Gul, the blue Mormon, and Monkey Puzzle are the species you can spot.
